The basics: sunscreen, towel, water, sunglasses, a hat, a spare swimsuit and some snacks. These community lists come ready-made so you can copy one and tick items off as you pack.
On top of the basics, add a bucket and spade, a float or armbands, a change of clothes, a sun hat, kids sunscreen and snacks. Many beach lists here already include the family version.
